Welcome to CCCSDA!!
The ministry of Pastor Gary Wimbish has had different manifestations over the past 31 years as a pastor, educator, and administrator. Pastor Wimbish is a graduate of Oakwood College located in Huntsville, Alabama and Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, where he received his Bachelor and Master of Divinity degrees in Theology, respectively.
His journey of service and ministry began in Cleveland, Ohio in 1974, where he served as the assistant pastor at the Southeast SDA Church. After pastoring at a number of churches in the Allegheny West and Southeastern California conferences of Seventh-day Adventists, teaching and serving as an administrator at Oakwood College, and serving as a Law School Dean, he feels especially privileged to serve God's people at this time.
His greatest joy in ministry is witnessing God's transforming power at work in the lives of His people. Pastor Wimbish believes fully that our sole mission is "to make disciples,” as found in Matthew 28:19. He believes this is the divine directive that must inspire not only our ministry, but our very lifestyle.
Pastor Wimbish is blessed to have a loving and supportive family in his wife, Cecelia T. Lester, M.D., and their children, Khalea, Kyle, and Brennan.
